Achzet Earns NEAC Second Team All-Conference Honors

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – Sophomore shortstop Lindsay Achzet (Johnstown, N.Y.) of the Wells College softball team picked up North Eastern Athletic Conference North Division Second Team All-Conference honors on Thursday. Achzet has now received Second Team recognition for the second time in as many seasons.

Achzet posted a team-leading .356 batting average, racking up 16 hits in 45 at-bats for the Express after starting all 18 games. Her 14 runs batted in led all Wells players and her three home runs in 2014 tied the single season program record. Amongst conference opponents, Achzet's three home runs ranked her seventh in the league and exiting her second year in a Wells uniform, she possesses the all-time record for career long balls with six to her credit.

Exiting the 2014 season, Achzet ranks eighth all-time in career batting average (.340, 36-for-106). Her .575 slugging percentage places her second all-time amongst qualifying players while her 77 assists in the field place her 10th all-time. Across 40 career games, Achzet has rapped seven doubles and has driven in 32 total runs on offense.
