'On This Day' is a Wells College Athletics feature series taking a look back on events that occurred on this day, Feb. 23, two years ago in 2019.

The Wells College baseball team opened its 2019 season with a home doubleheader against Pitt Bradford on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019, at the Wells Turf Field.

The highlight for the Express was the performance of Dylan Nolan. The junior catcher finished the day with four RBI, three hits and three runs. Nolan homered in both games and with a two-RBI double in the matinee, finished with three extra-base hits.
