Wells recorded its sixth shutout in program history on Saturday, limiting the Eagles to only nine shots in the contest. It was the first clean sheet for the Express dating back to a 20-0 victory over Wilson on Mar. 27, 2010 and the sixth victory for Wells against Saint Elizabeth in seven  meetings between the two programs.

Saturday's victory was also the first in the head coaching career of Missy Jaworski

Defensively, Gould led the way with eight caused turnovers which ties the unofficial program record, dating back to at least 2010. She also reeled in five ground balls, tying with Maloney for the team lead. Smith posted four ground balls for Wells while causing three turnovers alongside Maloney. Wells combined for 22 caused turnovers in the game, the second-most in a game since 2010.

Wells led by a 5-0 margin in the first 9:43 of regulation time and never looked back. Ultimately, the Express captured a 10-0 lead into halftime before adding six more strikes in the final 30 minutes of play. Ultimately, six of Wells' 16 goals came off of free position opportunities.

Express goalkeeper Quinn Doubet (Virgil, N.Y.) earned her first career shutout, making four saves that included two point-blank stops on Saint Elizabeth free position attempts. Maria Trujillo allowed 16 goals on 26 total shots, making 10 saves on the afternoon.

Wells outshot Saint Elizabeth by a 39-to-9 margin and collected 27 of the game's 39 ground balls. Additionally, the Express was a perfect 10-for-10 on clearance attempts and forced the Eagles into turnovers on 21 clears.

The team's four graduating senior student-athletes, including Roberson, Jordan, Gould and Lindsay Achzet (Johnstown, N.Y.), were honored with a pre-game ceremony in recognition of their contributions to the program during their careers.
