Women's Lacrosse Opens Up Conference Play

Wells College women's Lacrosse opened conference play this evening when they hosted the SUNY Morrisville Mustangs.

Wells College was coming off their first win of the season yesterday at Centenary University, 16-9.

The Mustangs jumped out to a big lead in this one scoring 9 goals in the first quarter. The Express started Kayla Groth in goal, her first collegiate start in goal and she came up with 11 saves. The Express would get on the board in the second quarter when Lydia Thomas scored the first goal don't the game for Wells College and her fifth goal of the season. In the third, Quinn Mannion (assisted by Lydia Thomas) and Julia Barnwell (assisted by Clara Lima) would both score for Wells College. Unfortunately, the Mustangs offense got off 40 shots with 34 of them on goal. The Express fell 23-3.

Women's lacrosse will host MCLA Wednesday at 3 PM
