Wells College women's basketball hosted the Penn State Altoona Lions for their second AMCC match-up of the week in the Schwartz Athletic Center.
After having only 1 turnover in the first quarter, Wells was down 23-5. Shooting less than 30% from the field led to the Express falling behind at halftime by a score of 43-14. The Altoona offense was just as potent in the second half with Wells trying everything they could defensively to slow them down. Trinity Thorton led Wells in scoring with 10 points and 6 rebounds. Wells dropped their second AMCC game this week at home.
The Express also celebrated their two seniors, April Washburn and Anna Bernatavitz, before the game. Congratulations and thank you both!
Women's basketball will return in the new year when they host La Roche on January 3.
