Max Odum and Lydia Thomas athletes of the week

Wells Express Athletes Of the Week 3/31

Congratulations to this week's athletes of the week Lydia Thomas and Max Odum!

Lydia Thomas was nominated this week by her head coach Vic Goeller. Last Saturday the Wells women's lacrosse team hit the road for Mitchell University. In their loss, Wells scored six goals and three of those goals came from Lydia Thomas. Thomas also grabbed nine ground balls and tallied twelve total shots. She now has twelve career goals at Wells College with thirteen total points. Just yesterday women's lacrosse grabbed their first win of the season at Centenary University and Thomas found the back of the net again. Lydia is in her junior season here at Wells and comes to us from Colton, NY.

Max Odum was nominated this week by his head coach Ryan Stevens. Last week Max was on fire at the play going 11-16 (.688) in five home games for Wells College. Over those four games, Odum had eleven total hits including three doubles, three triples, and 10 RBIs with a stolen base. For the season, Max is leading the Express in RBIs with seventeen and leads the team in stolen bases with 12. He recently reached two milestones in Wells College baseball history. He crushed his 100th hit, a mark only five other Express players in history have ever met. Max is also the all-time leader in stolen bases for Wells College. Max is in his junior year here at Wells College and comes to us from Elmira, NY.

Congratulations to these student-athletes!

Check back next week to see who is selected!
