WOMEN'S TENNIS LOSES SEASON OPENER TO ELMIRA

Elmira, NY- The Wells College women's tennis team opened up the 2009 season with a 9-0 loss to Elmira College on Wednesday evening in Elmira. Cat Abrego (Berwyn, IL) and Ali Nolan (Fair Haven, NJ) had the only two set wins for the Express.

Abrego went three sets against Emily Talbot, winning the first set 2-6, before losing the next two set 6-2, 6-2. Nolan also went three sets, bouncing back from a 6-1 first set loss, to take set two 6-3, before losing the third set 6-1.

The Express will look for their first win of the year when they travel to SUNY Cobleskill on Saturday, March 28th to take on the Fighting Tigers at 1:00 pm in Cobleskill.
