KEUKA PARK, N.Y. – The Wells College men's volleyball team won their third-straight match against Keuka College Friday evening at the Weed Physical Arts Center, securing a four set victory over the host Wolfpack. With the victory, Wells improves to 6-8 overall and to 3-2 within the North Eastern Athletic Conference. Keuka, who entered play riding a seven-match winning streak, falls to 9-3 overall while drawing their first league loss in 2015.

The Express won via set scores of 25-23, 25-21, 16-25 and 25-17. Leaping out in front by winning the first two sets, Keuka rallied to post a convincing 25-16 victory in the third set. Wells, however, rallied to put the Wolfpack away with a solid 25-17 fourth set win. As a team, Wells set the program record for total blocks with 15 to their credit as six different players recorded at least one block assist in the match.

Junior John Farruggia (West Winfield, N.Y.) posted 10 kills on offense for the Express while libero Jack Battumur (Denver, Colo.) picked up 15 digs defensively. Freshman Scott Litvin (Sayville, N.Y.) notched 29 assists and also hammered home four kills on seven errorless attacks. Sophomore Liam Kaylor (Falls Church, Va.) committed only one error on 20 swings, striking for seven kills on the evening.

Keuka was led by the reigning NEAC Player of the Year, Connor Hinman, and his 14 digs and 13 kills. His six receiving errors, however, led players from both teams. Chris Corcoran set up 32 of his team's 43 kills while Cooper Lyon had a great game from the backline, tallying 24 digs defensively.

Wells hits the road Saturday, Feb. 21 as they take on Lancaster Bible and Penn St.-Altoona on the campus of the SUNY Polytechnic Institute with NEAC matches at high noon at 2 p.m., respectively.
