Wells College Men's Volleyball Competes at Buffalo State Invitational

Buffalo, N.Y.-

Wells College Men's Volleyball team traveled to Buffalo to compete in the two day Buffalo State College's Invitational.  The Express went 0-3 for the tournament with losses to St. John Fisher 0-3, SUNY Potsdam 1-3 and Buffalo State College 0-3.

Wells College vs St. John Fisher College 0-3 (6-26, 13-25, 11-25)

The Express took on the undefeded Cardinlas of St. John Fisher College in the opening match on day one at the Buffalo State College Invitational.  Wells was lead on offense by Confidence Burrowes with four kills and Mason Moon had eight assists. Harrison Keena and Jacob Sehn both had three digs for the Express.

Wells College vs SUNY Potsdam 1-3 (22-25, 19-25, 26-24,14-25)

Game two of the of the day for the Express was a highly contested match with the Bears from SUNY Potsdam.  All four sets were back and forth with several lead changes, ulimately with the Bears coming out on top.  Leading the way for Wells was Connor Garvey with 11 kills and Confidence Burrowes 10 kills.  Mason Moon had 36 assists for the Express and also lead the team with 14 digs. 

Wells College vs Buffalo State College 0-3 (21-25, 22-25, 15-25)

Day two wrapped up for Wells College Men's Volleyball with the host Bengals of Buffalo State College.  The first two sets were a back and forth battle with Wells having the edge on several points, but the Bengals were able to go on runs to finish on top.  Some balanced scoring for the Express: Connor Garvey with eight kills, Confidence Burrowes and Harrison Keena with seven kills and Isayah Johnson with five kills.  Mason Moon had 21 assist while Jacob Sehn had six digs.

The Express are back on the road next at Wilkes University on Saturday, February 10th.
