Women’s Lacrosse Team Named to IWLCA Academic Honor Squad

NORTHBOROUGH, MASS. – The Wells College women's lacrosse team joined more than 300 schools nationally across NCAA Division I, II, III, and the NAIA as Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Squads for the 2020-21 academic year. To qualify for this prestigious honor, women's lacrosse teams must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year.

The Wells College women's lacrosse team finished with a 3.498 GPA for the 2020-21 academic year under first-year coach Alyssa Long.

Members of the 2021 Wells College women's lacrosse team include: Poony Rizal (Harrisburg, Pa.), Lydia Thomas (Colton, N.Y.), Clara Lima (Hastings Hudson, N.Y.), Julia Barnwell (East Syracuse, N.Y.), Magdalen Garrity (Hudson, N.Y.), Sahara Vinneccy (Miami, Fla.), Danielle Radivoy (Otisville, N.Y.), Isabella Ciancio (Clinton, N.Y.), Mackenzie Powers (Syracuse, N.Y.), Ellie Beavers (Syracuse, N.Y.), Mollie Walts (Cortland, N.Y.), Kayla Rowell (Cicero, N.Y.), Anna Bernatavitz (Elmira, N.Y.), Janelle Smalls (Dorchester, Mass.), and Lauren Spiegel (Ballston Lake, N.Y.).
