Softball Hosts the Bison of Gallaudet

In a conference matchup between Wells College and Gallaudet University softball teams, it was the latter that emerged victorious with a score of 6-0.

The first few innings of the game were fairly even, with both teams playing strong defense and preventing any runs from being scored. The Gallaudet University team was led by their standout pitcher, who held Wells College to just four hits throughout the entire game. Wells College struggled to generate any momentum on offense, and they were unable to capitalize on the few scoring opportunities that they had. Meanwhile, Gallaudet University was able to score six runs thanks to some timely hits and aggressive baserunning. 

In game two, Gallaudet was able to break through in the first inning, scoring two runs with the help of some timely hitting and strategic baserunning. From there, they were able to maintain their lead with a strong pitching performance, preventing the Wells Express from scoring any runs throughout the game. Despite the loss, Wells College had some standout performances in the game. Sara Mattle did an excellent job, striking out four batters and keeping the score close for much of the game. In addition, the defense played well, making several impressive plays throughout the game. The Gallaudet Bison emerged victorious with a 4-0 win over the Wells Express.

The Express will be back home tomorrow to host the Lancaster Bible Chargers starting at 1 PM.
