Men's Lacrosse Hosts Home Opener

On Wednesday night, Express men's lacrosse had hosted their home opener against SUNY Canton.

SUNY Canton came into the game with a 1-3 record and the Express were still looking to capture their first win.

The Roo's did not waste any time and jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first 5 minutes of this one. Jacob Stine for the Express answered with an unassisted goal of his own in the first but it was not enough as the visiting SUNY Canton grabbed a 9-1 lead by the end of the first quarter. Stine would go on to score once again for the Express in the second quarter and Quinten Battle would score as well, but SUNY Canton posted 5 more goals to take a 14-3 lead into halftime. 

In the second half, Stine found the back of the net 3 more times bringing his total goals on the day to 5. Canton's offense slowed down slightly with 7 second-half goals but the Express ultimately fell at home b a score of 21-6.
