On Saturday the Wells College men's lacrosse team traveled to St Mary's College of Maryland for a midday match-up.
The Seahawks are currently ahead of the Express in the United East Conference standings and the Express hoped to use today's game as an opportunity to leapfrog the Seahawks.
St Mary's was ready for the challenge today jumping all over the Express right from the start. It took the Seahawks 3 minutes to get on the board and that opened the flood gates for the first quarter giving them a 13-0 lead over the Express after one-quarter of play. Dakota Swamp would score first for the Express right before the half but the Seahawks would continue to build their lead and carry an 18-1 lead into halftime. In the second half, Jacob Stine and Dan Stevens would join in on the scoring for the Express bringing their game total to 3 goals against the Seahawks. The Express would fall on the road by a score of 24-3.
