Wells Express Athletes of The Week 4/19

Congratulations to this week's Athletes of the Week Clara Lima and Jeremy Nunez!

Clara was selected this week based on her performance last week in two games for the Wells College women's lacrosse team. Clara had 5 goals total and four ground balls! 1 Goal vs Utica University, and 4 goals vs Lancaster Bible at home on Saturday. Clara now has 40 goals on the season with 3 assists! This is the third time Clara has been awarded Athlete of the week this season! Both times she has been nominated by her Head Coach Vic Goeller. Clara Comes to Wells College from Hastings-on-Hudson, NY, and is in her sophomore year. Clara also plays field hockey for the Express! 

Jeremy Nunez was selected this week based on his performance on Saturday at Keuka College. Jeremy saved 32 shots on goal setting a new Wells College record for number of saves in a game! Great Job Jeremy! Jeremy now has 170 saves on the season. This is his first-time wining Athlete of the Week and he was nominated by his head coach Andrew Daly. Jeremy is in his first year at Wells College and comes to us from Bronx, NY.
