Express Athletes of the Week March 18-24

Logan Lomonaco and Jacob Sehn have been selected as the Express Athletes of the Week for the week of March 18 - 24. Both Lomonaco and Sehn secured AMCC Player of the Week honors in their respective sports and had many huge highlights that elevated each of their teams' performances in last week's games. The two first years have proven invaluable to their teams' success over the course of their debut seasons in collegiate uniforms.

Lomonaco was selected for her outstanding offensive performance that helped her secure the AMCC Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week for the week of March 18th - March 24th. 

For the incredible first year, this marks her 2nd AMCC Offensive Player of the Week Honor. The Binghamton native had another week with impressive offensive numbers for the undefeated Express who cruised to a 22-0 win over Waynesburg, improving their record to 6-0 and securing the best start to a season in Wells women's lacrosse history. Lomonaco, just one of many first year players for the Express, found the cage 6 more times in the win over the Yellow Jackets, also procuring 2 assists in the victory. Lomonaco still tops the AMCC in both goals and assists with 23 and 11 respectively. 

Sehn was selected for his outstanding defensive tenacity which earned him the coveted AMCC Men's Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week Award for the week of March 18th - March 24th. 

Sehn had an outstanding week for an Express squad that played well above their normal defensive numbers. Sehn, in particular, nearly doubled his defensive production during the Express' two games this past week, logging 4.17 digs per set, almost two entire digs higher than his season average (2.63 D/S). The Libero from nearby Syracuse also impressed on many opposing serve attempts, as he only suffered one reception error in the 33 receptions he attempted, good for an impressive .970 reception percentage on the week. Coupled with his 25 total digs this past week, Sehn put forth a strong defensive week for the Express.
