Wilkes Outguns Wells Men's Lacrosse

The Wells College men's lacrosse team lost 23-8 to Wilkes University on Saturday, March 24 at the Wells Turf Field.

Wells opened the scoring with a goal on its first shot of the contest as Brady Hoose scored unassisted 31 seconds into the game. Wilkes answered with a 7-0 run over the next seven minutes. Tanner Mingen closed the scoring for Wells in the first quarter.

Carson Combs scored a man-up goal for Wells in the second quarter assisted by Ian Domon.

Brady Hoose assisted on a man-up goal by Aaron Heisey in the third quarter and Hoose scored unassisted. Brian Buttner, Ian Domon, and Jared Shearer scored in the fourth quarter.

Zack Simone made 10 saves in goal for Wells. Tanner Mingen had six ground balls. Cash Lawson had three caused turnovers.

Hoose had two goals and an assist. Domon finished with a goal and two assists.

Wells was 2-for-3 in extra-man opportunities.

The Express is back home Tuesday, March 27 for a 6:30 p.m. game against Medaille College.
