Men's Lacrosse Outscored By SUNY Poly In Home-Schedule Finale

The Wells College men's lacrosse team played its final home game of the 2019 season and lost 14-4 against SUNY Poly on Thursday, April 18 at the Wells Turf Field.

SUNY Poly held a 9-0 lead before Wells climbed back into the game.

The Express scored a man-up goal as Jared Shearer converted on a pass from Nathan Ramsey with 2:17 left in the second quarter. SUNY Poly led 10-1 at halftime. Nathan Ramsey scored three goals in the second half, the third was assisted by Cash Lawson, to account for the rest of the Wells scoring.

Trevor Stein made 17 saves and had one ground ball and one caused turnover. Cash Lawson led Wells with four ground balls. Quinten Battle had five shots for Wells.

The Express will be in action Wednesday, April 24 with a 5 p.m. road game at Medaille.
