Season-High 21 Goals Boosts Men's Lacrosse Victory

The Wells College men's lacrosse team scored a season-best 21 goals and wrapped up its 2017 season with a 21-17 victory over Medaille College in North Eastern Athletic Conference play on Saturday, April 29 in a game played at Dobson Field at D'Youville College in Buffalo.

Wells finished the year with a 4-8 overall record and 3-5 mark in the NEAC. Medaille is 1-13 overall and 0-8 in the conference.

The Express tied its best overall win total in 10 years of competition in varsity men's lacrosse with four wins, and the three conference wins established a program-best in that category.

Wells led 6-3 after the first quarter and 13-6 at halftime and led the rest of the way. After falling behind 1-0 early in the first, Wells scored five goals in a row.

Alex Milliken capped his stellar Wells career with eight goals. Brady Hoose had five goals and two assists, and Tanner Mingen had six points on three goals and three assists. Jordan Milliken had two goals and two assists and Aaron Heisey had a goal and three assists. Brendan O'Connor and Josh Delaney each scored their second career goals in the victory.

Wells goalkeeper Nick Hallinan had 16 saves. The Express won 22 of 42 faceoffs. Brady Hoose led Wells with three caused turnovers. Aaron Heisey had 15 ground balls and Tanner Mingen had 11 ground balls.
