Cazenovia Pulls Away From Men's Lacrosse In Second Half

The Wells College men's lacrosse team went on the road and dropped a game against Cazenovia College by a 20-9 score on Wednesday, April 5. The loss dropped Wells to 1-1 in the North Eastern Athletic Conference. Wells is 2-4 overall. Cazenovia stayed perfect in NEAC play with a 2-0 conference record and the Wildcats are 6-1 overall this season.

Wells returns home Friday night for a 6:30 p.m. home game against Morrisville State College.

The Express scored the first two goals of the game, as NEAC Player of the Week Alex Milliken fired in a pair of goals in the first two minutes. Milliken and Brady Hoose scored in the second quarter.

Cazenovia led 7-4 at halftime and broke the game open by outscoring Wells 10-1 in the third quarter.

Wells scored four times in the fourth.

Alex Milliken scored three goals on four shots. Brady Hoose and Aaron Heisey each had two goals and an assist. Tanner Mingen scored twice and Jordan Milliken had one assist.

Brendan O'Connor had two caused turnovers. Aaron Heisey and Tanner Mingen led Wells with five ground balls each. Nick Hallinan made 13 saves.

Cazenovia won 27 of the 33 faceoffs in the game.
