Men's Basketball Opens Season On The Road At Houghton

Wells College men's basketball kicked off their 2023-24 season with a non-conference road game at the Houghton University Highlanders.

In the first half, Evan Hauser, Billy McCrae, and Chase Welch all added 6 points to help the Express build a 10-point lead. Wells's defense held the Highlanders to only 26 points in the first half. In the second half, the Highlanders were more productive on offense scoring 55 total points to compared to Wells' 26. Billy McCrae did the majority of the scoring in the second half with 14 points and 5 rebounds. The Express was plagued by turnovers with 28 compared to 14 from Houghton. Houghton won this match-up, 81-62.

Up next, men's basketball will host their home opener Monday at 7:00 PM against Elmira.
