Feliz and Clayton-Murphy lead Express To Road Win

Men's basketball hit the road to take on Penn State Abington who is number 1 in the United East Conference. The Express would win in a thriller, 67-65.

The Express were coming off a devastating home loss to SUNY Morrisville and you could tell they took it personally. They came out in this one with serious energy on defense holding the Lions to just 38% shooting on the day. Meanwhile, Wells College shot 52% which helped them keep up with the number one team in the conference. Terrance Clayton-Murphy added 11 points in the first half giving the Express some life on both ends of the floor. Heading into half time, Wells was up 35-33. In the second half, neither team was able to build a lead larger than 6. The Express held the lead most of the half thanks to Jalen Feliz who added 21 points on the day. As the game wound down, Terrance Clayton Murphy assisted Billy McCrae on a baseline jumpshot to increase their lead. Then Clayton-Murphy hit a late foul shot to increase the Express lead to 2 with 5 seconds left. Wells defense smothered Penn State Abington on the last possession and Wells heads home with a big conference win.

Men's basketball will host Penn College Tuesday evening.
