Men' Basketball Wins Second Straight Conference Game

Wells College men's basketball hosted the Penn College Wildcats Tuesday for a United East match-up. The Express secured this home win, 79-64.

The Express came out on a mission grabbing a 13-3 lead over the visiting Wildcats. Back-to-back blocks from James Lucey and a few three-pointers from Ty McBride pushed the Express ahead by a few more. The Wildcats would mount a small first-half come back however cutting the lead down to just 7 heading into half time. Penn College would come out of half-time and go on 7-point run to tie the game up at 39. However, the Express were able to regain some composure and went on to outscore the Wildcats for the rest of the half 40-25. Towards the end of the game, the majority of the Express points were coming from the free throw line where they shot 70% for the night (24-34). This improved the Express to 4-2 in the conference.

Men's basketball will hit the road Friday to take on Penn State Harrisburg.
