Wells Express Athletes of The Week 11/8
Congratulations to this week's Wells Express Athletes of The Week, Billy McCrae and Zoey Barr!
Billy was selected this week based on his performance last week in the men's basketball first game of the season at Houghton University. McCrae had 20 points on 10-12 shooting. He also grabbed 11 rebounds while blocking 3 shots and securing 1 steal. Billy comes to us from Washington Township New Jersey and is in his senior season with the Express. He was nominated this week by his head coach Joe Wojtylko.
Zoey was selected this week based on her performance last weekend in her first home meet of the season against SUNY Oswego. Barr finished first in the women's 100-yard backstroke (1:09.82), first in the women's 200-yard backstroke (2:35.40), and second in the women's 50-yard freestyle (27.76). Plus she earned the 10th spot on our All Wells Top Ten Times. Zoey was nominated this week by her head coach Trish George. She is in her freshman season with the Express and comes to Wells from Port Clinton, NY.
