Reading, PA – Aly Mann tossed seven innings of shutout softball, scattering three hits, and the Express defense committed just one error, as the Express went on to defeat Penn St. Berks in game one 1-0 Sunday afternoon in Reading, PA. Game Two was a different story as the Nittany Lions would roll to a 17-1 victory. With the split the Express end their season 3-27, 1-15 in league play, while the Nittany Lions improve to 15-19, 11-4 in league play.
The Express finished the day with 11 hits, including two hits from Rebekah Coons (Voorheesville), Aly Mann (Walden), and Adriana Perry (Holbrook, MA).
The game one victory marked the first North Eastern Conference win for the Express softball team since entering the conference.
