Elmira, NY - The Wells College softball team dropped both games of their non-conference double-header to Elmira College 12-3 and 12-5 on Wednesday night in Elmira. With the loss the Express fall to 2-24 while Elmira improves to 13-9.
Amelia Welch (Warrensburg) led the Express offense finishing 3-5 with two runs scored and a homerun while Alarie Alghali (Washington, D.C.) finished 3-3 with two homeruns and three RBI.
Aly Mann (Walden) took the loss in game one tossing 5 2/3 innings allowing 11 earned runs while striking out three. Beth Cereo (Port Biron) suffered the loss in game two tossing 4 1/3 innings allowing 12 earned runs while striking out one.
The Express return to action on Saturday, April 25th as they take on NEAC rival Keuka College at home with the first pitch set for 1:00 pm.
