KEUKA STORMS AWAY WITH TWO VICTORIES

Aurora, NY – The Keuka College Storm swept through the Express on Saturday taking both games of the NEAC conference double-header 11-0 (5 inn.) and 15-2 (5 inn.) at Wells. With the loss the Express fall to 2-26, 0-14 in league play, while the Storm improve to 16-4, 14-0 in league play.

Keuka jumped out to a quick 5-0 lead after the first inning and led 10-0 after three, rolling to the victory. The Express were led by Rebekah Coons (Voorheesville) and Adriana Perry (Holbrook, MA) who both finished with two hits and four of the five hits hits for Wells. Laura Rowley (Kendall) had the only other hit for the Express. Aly Mann (Walden) suffered the loss on the mound in game one, tossing five innings while allowing 11 earned and striking out eight Keuka batters.

In game two the Storm again jumped out to an early 5-0 lead after two innings.The Express would trim the lead to 5-2 on an RBI single by Aly Mann and an error by the Keuka defense. Keuka would respond, scoring 10 runs over the final two innings to seal the 15-2, run shortened victory.

Mann led the offense in game two finishing 2-3 with a double and one RBI. Beth Cereo (Port Biron) suffered the loss on the mound tossing five innings allowing nine earned runs while striking out four.
