Milliken Claims NCAA Division III Statistical Championship

AURORA, N.Y. – Freshman Alex Milliken (Hilton, N.Y.) of the Wells College men's lacrosse team led all NCAA Division III men's lacrosse players nationwide in goals per game to conclude the 2014 season. Milliken averaged 3.92 goals per game after scoring 47 goals in 12 contests for Wells as a first year player. One of only three student-athletes to claim a statistical championship for Wells, Milliken is the first freshman in school history to do so.

The North Eastern Athletic Conference leader in goal scoring, Milliken also finished his freshman campaign with 4.75 points per game, ranking 16th amongst qualifying players. Shattering the single season point scoring record by tallying 49 points (39-10=49) through his first nine collegiate games, Milliken scored at least two goals in each of his team's 12 games.

A rising sophomore, Milliken enters the 2015 season ranked fifth all-time in point scoring. His 12 points against Green Mountain on Mar. 8 set a single game program record as he registered nine goals and three assists.
