NEAC Player of the Week Award For Alex Milliken

Wells College men's lacrosse senior attackman Alex Milliken was selected as the North Eastern Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending March 12, 2017. Milliken's seven-goal performance in a Wells victory over Houghton College helped him earn the conference distinction.

Milliken led Wells to a 16-11 win over Houghton College as the Express improved its record to 1-1 on the year. With those seven goals, Milliken has totaled 109 goals in his Wells career, and is the program's leader in career goals. He surpassed the mark of 106 goals held by Daniel Munsell '13.

It was the second-highest scoring day of his career, following a nine-goal, three-assist outing in his collegiate debut, a 23-1 win over Green Mountain College on March 8, 2014. In the season-opening game against Alfred State, Milliken became the second player in program history to reach the 100-career goals mark.

It is the second week this season, and second week in a row, that Wells has had a player honored in the conference's weekly award. Freshman goalie Nick Hallinan earned the defensive player of the week award for the week ending March 5.

Wells is scheduled to return to action Saturday, March 18 at Wilkes University at 2 p.m.
