Softball Doubleheader Postponed Due To Weather

Wells College and Penn College of Technology were unable to complete the scheduled doubleheader between the softball teams on Thursday, April 20 at the Wells Turf Field in Aurora. Inclement weather including lightning forced the postponement of the event, which will be resumed May 2 at Penn College's home site -- Elm Park in Williamsport, Pa.

Four innings of the opening game were completed. Penn College held a 14-5 lead when play was halted. When the teams compete on May 2, the game will resume beginning with the top of the fifth inning. Following the completion of the first game, the second game will take place.

Wells returns to action this weekend with Saturday games at SUNY Polytechnic Institute and Sunday home games against SUNY Cobleskill beginning at 2:30 p.m.
