Baseball Continues Conference Play At Penn College

Wells College baseball continued their conference schedule on the road today at Penn College. 

Ethan Zimmerman was on the mound and performed well against the number two team in the conference. Zimmerman threw 7.1 innings giving up eight hits but only three runs (2 ER). He tallied four strikeouts and gave the Express a real chance to win this game. The offense however was stymied by Penn College. Wells College had only three hits on the day all coming in separate innings heading into the top of the ninth down 3-0. Max Odum starting the inning with a single and he was followed up by his brother Zack Odum who also singled. A Zach Young single scored Max Odum to cut the lead but that would be the end of the rally in the 9th and the Express fell in the first of a three-game series at Penn College, 3-1. 

Tomorrow Wells will play a doubleheader against the Wildcats starting at noon.
