Baseball Continues Non Conference Schedule

Wells College baseball hit the road Wednesday afternoon for their second non conference game of the week, this time at Elmira College.

Ryan Wiser registered his first collegiate start this afternoon and pitched 6 complete innings giving up four runs and striking out 6. He was relieved by Mason Smith who threw two scoreless innings giving up only one hit. On offense, Wells first got on the board in the third inning when Jonathan Haines walked with the bases loaded. In the fourth, Zach Odum smacked a double to right that scored Stephen Livingston cutting the lead to 4-2. In the seventh, Lance Phillips smashed a double down the left field line that scored Zach Odum cutting the lead down to just one heading into the next two innings. The Express unfortunately were not able to scratch a run across in the 8th and 9th and fell on the road, 4-3.

Baseball will host Penn State Harrisburg starting this friday at home!
