'On This Day' Men’s Basketball Team Hits 100 after 64-point Second Half

'On This Day' is a Wells College Athletics feature series taking a look back on events that occurred on this day, Jan. 6, eleven years ago in 2010.

KEUKA PARK, NY – For the first time in program history the Wells College men's basketball team hit triple-digit scoring in a 100- 56 victory at Keuka College on Jan. 6, 2010.

Adam Durr's layup in the final 90 seconds capped the 100th point and a 47-point lead at 100-53 before Keuka would close out the scoring with a three. Wells held a five-score lead at the break before erupting for a 64-point second half.

Darrell Bullock led the Express with 23 points with more than half of those coming from beyond the arc after going 4-for-4 from three-land. Juan Paulino continued his double-double streak and raised it to four games after scoring 10 and leading the team in boards with 13. Wells ended the contest with a 54-31 edge in rebounding.

Greg Jones and Craig Gaylord also recorded double-digit performances with Gaylord adding 16 to Jones' 15.

Wells entered the second half with a 36-21 lead and never looked back cruising to the 44-point victory, the largest margin of victory for the season.  As a team the Express shot an impressive 65.7 percent from the field during the second half, while the 64-points scored in the second half is the highest point total for a half on the season.
