Men’s Lacrosse All-Decade Team

The Wells College 2020 All-Decade Team in men's lacrosse comprises student-athletes that participated during the spring seasons between 2011-20. The team consists of 10 selections with its composition based with no fewer than three selections from each position excluding goalkeeping with all multiple all-conference selections receiving automatic placement.*

The 2020 All-Decade team includes (alphabetically): Kyle Brimm (2009-12), David Easton (2008-11), Aaron Heisey (2015-18), Brady Hoose (2017-18), Connor Jansen (2013-16), Cash Lawson (2015, 2017-19), Alex Milliken (2014-17), Tanner Mingen (2015-18), Dan Munsell (2010-13) and Hayden Shuster (2012-15).

Brimm was selected as the team's all-decade goalkeeper after four seasons with Wells. His goals-against average from the 2011 season is the lowest of any Wells goalkeeper during the past 10 seasons. He is also one of two goalkeepers to record a save percentage above .500 with a .573 during the same 2011 season. Like his goals-against average, his save percentage is also the best single season recorded of any Wells goalkeeper in the last 10 seasons. Brimm recorded 500 saves over 39 games in his career.

Of the three all-decade defensive selections, Easton, Lawson and Shuster account for a combined five all-conference selections. Shuster and Lawson each received an all-conference nod twice while Easton received one all-conference nod and is the only player on the all-decade team that appeared in the team's inaugural season although he earned his all-conference honor during the 2011 season. Easton garnered 91 groundballs and 33 caused turnovers over three seasons of NEAC statistics. Lawson finished once in the top-10 in faceoffs (2019), and added 135 groundballs, 50 caused turnovers and 83 faceoff wins over his career. Schuster finished with seven top-10 conference finishes. In 2012, he finished once in the top-10 (caused turnovers), twice in 2013 (groundballs, caused turnovers), twice in 2014 (groundballs, caused turnovers) and twice in 2015 (caused turnovers, shooting percentage). He finished in the top-three in caused turnovers in each of his four seasons and led the NEAC in that category during his senior season with 36. His career numbers include 233 groundballs and 141 caused turnovers.

All three midfielders selected earned two all-NEAC selections apiece and include Heisey, Mingen and Munsell. Heisey finished in the conference top-10 on 11 occasions during his four seasons. He finished once in the top-10 in 2015 (groundballs), three times in 2016 (groundballs, faceoffs, shots), twice in 2017 (groundballs, faceoffs) and five times in 2018 (groundballs, goals, shots and shots-on-goal). His 145 shots during his senior season led the NEAC. Heisey finished with 91 goals, 28 assists, 119 points, 282 groundballs and 261 faceoff wins. Mingen played the same four seasons as Heisey with three top-10 conference appearances hitting the mark in groundballs during his junior and senior seasons while adding shots and caused turnovers in the latter season. He was runner-up in the NEAC in groundballs with 93 in 2018 and finished his Wells career with 77 goals, 35 assists, 112 points, 256 groundballs, 67 caused turnovers and 158 shots-on-goal. Munsell had seven top-10 conference finishes from 2011-13. In 2011, he finished twice in the top-10 (goals-per-game, shots-per-game), once in 2012 (shots-on-goal), and four times in 2013 (goals, groundballs, shots, shots-on-goal). His 136 shots led the NEAC in his senior season and he finished with 106 goals, 25 assists, 131 points and 253 groundballs.

Of the three all-decade attack selections, Milliken is the lone member of the all-decade team to garner four all-conference nods. Jansen received a pair of all-conference nods during his four seasons and Hoose garnered one during his two seasons. Milliken earned a dozen top-10 conference finishes with five in 2014 (goals, points, shots, shots-on-goal, caused turnovers), one in 2015 (assists), three in 2016 (assists, points, shots) and three in 2017 (goals, points, shots-on-goal).
