On Friday the Wells College softball team traveled to Penn State Berks for a doubleheader.
This is the second set of games for the Express softball team. In their first two games of the season, they hosted Houghton College at home and unfortunately lost both games.
In the first of two games, the Express struggled at the plate. Penn State BErsk jumped all over them building a 10-0 lead at the end of the second inning and the Express would never dig themselves out of the whole. Wells had struck out 12 times at the plate and was held hitless in the first game. They fell by a score of 17-0.
In the second game, the Express found themselves in a similar situation down 10 runs in the second inning. Senior Jennifer McCumber has the lone hit for the Express this game. McCumber was also on the mound all 4 innings for the Express. Berks knocked off Wells once again by a score of 16-0.
The Express will be back in action tomorrow at Penn State Abington for two more games!
