Express Softball Takes On Lancaster Bible

On Friday afternoon the Wells College softball team traveled to Lancaster Bible for a two-game set.
The Express were still looking to capture their first win of the season! However, so were the Lancaster Bible Chargers!
Megan Litzenberger was on the mound once again for the Express as they took on the Chargers. After the first inning, the Express found themselves down 5-0. In the second Inning, Wells got their first base runner of the game as Jen McCumber singled down the left-field line. McCumber would single again later in the game and ended up going 2-3. In the 5th Inning, Shanyce Gonzalez walked, sending home Megan Litzenberger for the first run of the game for the express. Ultimately, Wels would fall in the first game by a score of 15-1.
Litzenberger was on the mound again for the Express in the second game. The Chargers built up another lead in the first two innings of this one 7-0. The Express did not record a hit in this one until the 3d inning when Tori Miller singled through the right side. In the 4th inning, Jen McCumber would go on to steal second. Serina Sheradin would then reach on an error that sent home McCumber for the first run of the game. The Express would unfortunately drop back-to-back games to the chargers. this one by a score of 16-1.
