Saturday brought another 2 game series for Express softball and this time it was in the country's capital.
The Express traveled to Gallaudet after taking on Lancaster Bible on Friday where they dropped 2 games to the chargers.
The Express got on the board early when in the first inning, Shanyce Gonzalez scores on a fielder's choice from Tori Miller giving Wells College a 1-0 lead. Gonzalez would go on to score again in the 3rd inning when Tori Miller walked and sent in a run. Unfortunately for the Express, Gallaudet was able to secure the win in the first game by a score of 10-2.
In the second game, Wells College was not able to push a run across until the 4th inning. Naomi Lopez was hit by a pitch which sent home Jennifer McCumber with the bases loaded. In the 5th, Serina Sheradin reached first on an error that also sent home Haylie Dixon. The Bison bats were hot once again in this one though as they defeated the Express by a score of 18-2.
