On Tuesday afternoon the Mustangs of SUNY Morrisville visited Wells College for 2-afternoon conference match-up softball games.
Earlier in the season, The Express had lost two games at SUNY Morrisville and were hoping for some revenge this afternoon.
In the first game, at the bottom of the second, the Express was down 4-0. Then, Haley Dixon sent home Jen McCumber on a ground ball to second for the first run of the game. Later in the 4th inning, Shay Gonzales would single to left field scoring Jen McCumber for the second run of the game. The Mustangs would have some success on offense however and win the first game by a score of 12-2.
In the second game, the Express were down 3-0 going into the bottom of the first. However, Tori Miller would score on a ground out from Caroline Barr, then Shay Gonzales would send home Jen McCumber and Jessi Rios Rodriguez tying the game up at 3. Unfortunately, the rest of the game would be all Mustangs as they scored in every inning except for 1. They would win this one 23-3.
Megan Litzenberger was once again great on the mound for the Express pitching every inning in both games.
