Express softball takes on penn college

On Friday afternoon the Express hosted the Penn College Wildcats for two evening games.
The softball team was still looking for its first win of the season while the Wildcats are ranked number 1 in the United East conference.
In the first game, the Wildcats jumped out to a 9-0 lead in the first inning. Pitcher Megan Litzenberger held them scoreless in the second inning, however, giving the Express a chance to catch up. Unfortunately, the Express bats were quiet this evening and they did not tally a hit until the 5th inning when Serina Sheradin singled. The Express would fall in the first game by a score of 29-0.
Megan Litzenberger started the second game for Wells College as well. This game had a similar trajectory for the Express as they found themselves down 14-0 after 2 innings. It took until the 5th inning for the Express to find a hit once more as Tori Miller hustled out a short grounder and got herself an infield single. Penn College would take this game as well however, 20-0.
