Softball Plays Two At Abington

Saturday brought the second set of games in as many days for the Express softball team as they took on Penn State Abington.
Yesterday the Express visited Penn State Berks where they dropped both games there and looked to rebound today at Abington.
In the first of two games, Penn State Abington did all their scoring in the first two innings with 11 runs in the first and 15 runs in the second. In the third innings though, Megan Litzenberger walked, advanced to second on a wild pitch, and then was hit home by Shanyce Gonzalez double to left-center putting the Express on the board. Unfortunately, Wells College would fall in the first game 26-1.
In the second game, Wells College once again had trouble at the plate tallying only 2 hits for the game both coming in the 4th and 5th inning. Megan Litzenberger and Jennifer McCumber did the pitching for the Express on this road trip and Express would drop back-to-back games to Abington by a score of 16-0.
