On Friday afternoon the Wells College softball team was back in action. They Hosted two games against Penn State Abington.
The Express had already played Penn State Harrisburg and SUNY Morrisville earlier in the week. Still, on the hunt for their first win, the Express took the field today!
Penn State Abington came out hot in the first inning against Express pitcher Jen McCumber and put up 11 runs. The Lions followed that up in the second inning with a 9 spot. The Express as a team struggled at the plate producing only 3 hits for the game. Two came from Shay Gonzalez and one from Anna Bernatavitz. The Express also had some issues on defense with 8 errors total for the game. They would fall in this one by a score of 30-0 to the Lions.
Jen McCumber was back on the mound in the second game and held the Lions to just 3 runs in the first inning with 5 in the second. McCumber also doubled off the center-field wall for Wells College in her first at-bat. This game would be cut short due to injury however and the Lions would claim a 3 inning victory by the score of 12-0.

Softball will be back in action tomorrow at 3 PM and 5 PM when they host Penn State Berks
