Men's Volleyball Hosts Medaille For Final Home Game

Wells College men's volleyball hosted the Medaille Mavericks for their final home game of the season on Wednesday night.

Earlier this season, at Medaille, the Mavericks defeated the Express in three straight sets.

In a tight first set, the Express were down seven points but started to turn things around after a timeout. After six straight serves from Harrison Keena Wells cut the lead down to three. That was followed by a bevy of serves from Confidence Burrowes that gave the Express a 17-16 lead. Medaille battled back tying the set at 20. Billy McCrae and Mason Moon would have kills late in the set, but it was not enough, and Mavericks took set one, 25-23. Set two started with the Express ahead by a small margin, 6-3. After the Mavericks clawed their way to an 11-all tie, the Express offense began to stall and only mustered seven more points in the set. they fell 25-18 in set two. The third set was another battle between these two conference foes. Each team had their time with the lead in this set with serves from Connor Garvey and Mason Moon carrying the Express. But as the set wound down the Wells offense could not produce enough to put them over the edge and they fell in three straight sets, (25-20).

Men's Volleyball will play their final game of the season Saturday at Penn State Altoona.
