Wells Express Athlete Of The Week 1/27

Congratulations to Hailey Onofre and Connor Garvey for being named the Wells Express Athletes Of the Week!

Her head coach Trish George nominated Hailey. During her senior meet last weekend, Hailey improved in each one of her events! She was in the winning 200 freestyle relay earning a season-best as the anchor. Hailey also achieved first place and season bests in the 200 breaststroke and the 200 individual medley. This is Hailey's senior year at Wells College and she comes to us from Elmira, NY. 

Connor Garvey was nominated by his head coach Ryan Laing. Connor was named Offensive Player Of The Week in the AMCC this week based on his performance in the first two games of the season for men's volleyball. He led the Express in three matches last week. He recorded 32 kills (3.91) and a .338%, as he tallied 34.5 points combined on the weekend, averaging 4.25 per set. This is Connors junior year at Wells College and he comes to us from Baldwinsville, NY. 

Both athletes will be in action again this weekend! Men's volleyball will host a tri-match Sunday and swimming will hit the road tomorrow for Penn State Behrend.
