'On This Day' is a Wells College Athletics feature series taking a look back on events that occurred on this day, Nov. 23, ten years ago in 2010.

Aurora, N.Y. ─ Ashley Roser poured in a game high 31 points and 16 rebounds as the Wells College Express came back from as many as 11 points down in the second half to defeat the Morrisville State Mustangs 48-42 in North Eastern Athletic Conference women's basketball action Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 23, 2010, in Aurora.

The victory over the Mustangs was the first in program history for Wells.

It was a team effort for Wells who had six different people reach the scoring column. Rachel Mattraw finished with seven points and five rebounds. Kristen Ryan finished with seven rebounds and two points. Gabrielle Palozzola added four points, while Ashley Mercure, and Brittany White chipped in two points each.

The Express shot 31.7 percent from the field, but were just 2 of 15 behind the arc. The Mustangs held the advantage in rebounds, 53-46.

The Mustangs took advantage of eight first half offensive rebounds, scoring 11 second chance points along with nine points off turnovers, as they would open up a 10-point lead on the Express before heading into the break up nine, 26-17.

The Mustangs continued to hold a sizable advantage over the Express, leading by as many as 11 with 12 minutes remaining in the second half. The Express continued to play hard and a lay-up by Mercure with 11:16 remaining would start Wells on a 9-2 run that would put them right back in the game, 36-32, with 7:14 remaining.

Wells started operating on all cylinders from there, holding the Mustangs to just two points over the final four minutes, while Roser poured in 11-straight points and 12 of the final 13 points as Wells came back to close out the Mustangs for their first win in program history.
