Men'sVolleyball Battles Medaille on The Road

On Wednesday night the Express men's volleyball team traveled to Medaille College for a weekday evening match-up.

This was the second meeting of these two teams this year. The Express won the first match 3-0 at home in Aurora.

The first set saw Medaille take a bit of a lead. The Express got some kills from the majority of the starters but it was not enough to top the Mavericks on the first set and the visiting Express fell 25-19.

The second set was where the Mavericks really shined and were able to take a large lead over the Express and hold it. Late kills by Cooper Colesate and Riley Mahoney gave the Express some energy heading into the next set down 2-0. (25-15)

The third set is where the Express went on a run of its own. They started the match-up down 2-0 but they did not let that stop them from coming out strong in the 3rd set. Connor Garvey tallied kills in the 3rd set to help the Express win their first set of the night by a score of 25-14.

The Mavericks came out ready for the fourth set and jumped out to a lead over the visiting Express. Fueled by their desire for some revenger the Mavericks were able to close out the Express on the road in the final set by a score of 25-16.
