Men's Volleyball Heads to Potsdam

On Wednesday, the Wells College men's volleyball team traveled to SUNY Potsdam.

This was the third time these teams met this season and SUNY Potsdam has won both of those match-ups.

In the first set, the Bears jumped out to a 4-1 lead. Kills from Confidence Burrowes and Riley Mahoney helped close the gap as the match went on. The express battled but eventually dropped the first set on the road 25-18. In the second set, the Express came out and would not be denied. Key serves from Christian Hahn, ley sets from Cooper Colesante, and late kills from Confidence Burrowes help the Express tie it up 1-1 with a second set win (25-22).

The third and fourth sets were close the entire time. In the third, both teams made 5 attack errors, and the Express had 11 kills to Potsdam's 16. Connor Garvey had a late kill but it wasn't enough as the Express fell in the 3rd, 25-22. The fourth set was where the Express was able to gain a bit of a lead, 18-13. The Potsdam Bears came roaring back though and ended up defeating the Express in 4 sets (25-23).

Express Stat Leaders:

Riley Mahoney: 14 Kills

Cooper Colesante: 29 assists
