Sullivan Named Women’s Tennis Coach

AURORA, N.Y. – Following an extensive search, the Wells College athletic department has named Dan Sullivan the new women's tennis coach for the Express, announced Director of Athletics Michael Borsz Wednesday afternoon.

"I am pleased to welcome Dan to Wells College," said Borsz.  "His experience as both a student-athlete and as a tennis professional in the Finger Lakes region stood out amongst the pool of applicants.  We are excited to see what lies in store for our women's tennis team this season."

Sullivan inherits a program that posted an 8-5 overall record in 2012 alongside a regular season mark of 6-0 in the regular season.  Their lone conference blemish came in the postseason, falling by a 5-4 margin against the Nittany Lions of Penn State Berks in the North Eastern Athletic Conference West championship match.

In addition to his head coaching responsibilities with the Express, Sullivan also serves as the Head Tennis Professional at Skaneateles Country Club in Skaneateles, N.Y. and the Director of Program Development at the Champions For Life Sports Center in Auburn, N.Y.  While growing and actively promoting tennis within the community, Sullivan manages all aspects of the tennis program at each location while assisting with player development.

A 2011 graduate of Le Moyne College in Syracuse, N.Y. with a B.S. in Management and Leadership/Management Information Systems, Sullivan set program records for the men's tennis program, including the most consecutive matches played by a Le Moyne men's tennis player.
