Wells Express host Paul Smiths College

On Sunday the Wells Express Women's Basketball team hosted Paul Smiths College for their first game of 2022.

With the Express still looking to secure their first win of the season, Paul Smith was running into a hungry team.

This proved to be true as the Express scored 32 first-half points and went into halftime tied 32-32. Before this game, the Express had not scored more than 30 in an entire game.

The second half saw both teams taking small leads but as the Express began to get into foul trouble, the Bobcats took advantage and were able to close the gap eventually sending the game to overtime. 

In overtime, however, the Express struggled on the offensive end and fell at home to the visiting Bobcats by a score of 60-65.

Express Stat leaders

Morgan Adams:  21pts, 20rbs

Caroline Barr: 10pts, 13rbs

Lydia Thomas: 11pts

The Women will be back in action Tuesday at SUNY Morrisville.
