Women's Basketball Falls at Home to PS Abington

Saturday afternoon was the final game of the season for the Wells Express women's basketball team. 

Penn State Abington came to town after losing Friday night to SUNY Morrisville. This would also end up being the last game of the season for the Lions. 

The first quarter went back and forth. Morgan Adams did most of the scoring for the Express. In just the first quarter she had 6 points and 3 bounds on 2-2 shooting while going 2-3 from the foul line. The Lions were able to grab a small lead over the Express by the end of the first, 16-10.

The second quarter, unfortunately, saw some offensive struggles for Wells College. as a team they went 3-14 and had 7 turnovers. The visiting Penn State Abington took advantage of this and jumped out to a 31-16 lead going into halftime. 

In the third quarter, Sydney Bateman, Kyra Pylinski, Morgan Adams, and Jennifer McCumber picked up the scoring for the Express. They notched the 11 points for the Express who were battling back from a halftime deficit.  No matter what the Express through at the Lions, however, they were not able to slow them down found themselves down 47-27 heading into the 4th quarter. 

The fourth quarter saw the Express give up 8 turnovers while putting up 11 points. Once again the visiting Lions were able to capitalize and secured a road win in the final game of their season by a score of 65-38.

Morgan Adams: 14 pts, 7 rbs

Kyra Pylinksi: 7 pts

Sydney Bateman: 6 pts
