Women's Basketball Secures Road Win

Saturday afternoon brought another road trip for the express as they took on Penn State Berks.

This would be the last road trip of the year for women's basketball and they wanted to end on a high note. Earlier in the season, they defeated Penn State Berks at home and were looking to go 2-0 on the year against the Lions.

The Express offense came out of the gate hot jumping all over the hosting Berks by a score of 19-11 thanks to some early baskets from Morgan Adams, Sonia Rivera, and Lydia Thomas. The Express turned it on defensively in the second quarter only allowing 9 points while scoring 18 of their own to head into the half with a 37-20 lead. 

In the third quarter, everyone contributed to the Express as they built on their lead over Penn State Berks. Heading into the fourth they were up 50-37. The Express closed out Berks in the fourth quarter thanks to some made free throws from Caroline Barr and Morgan Adams. The Express won 62-52 on the road for their second win of the season.

The last game of the regular season for the Express will be home, next Saturday against Penn State Abington!
