Express Men's Basketball improves to 3-1

On Wednesday night the Keuka Wolves came to town to take on the Wells College Express.

The visiting wolves had started their season 0-3 and looked to secure their first win on the road tonight. The Express, is coming off a home win against SUNY ESF on Sunday and hoped to continue their winning ways.

The first half was full of action as Keuka played their uptempo, quick shot, and quick substitution style. The Wolves produced 20 three-point shots in the first half hitting only 7 of them. The Express were able to break through their full-court pressure and create transition baskets for themselves. At the half, senior Ty Mcbride hadn't missed going 7-7 from the field while going 4-4 from 3 totaling 18 first-half points and helping the Express take a 60-50 lead into halftime.

The second half was just as exciting as the Wolves closed the gap little by little and were able to make it a one-possession game in the last 5 minutes. Two big free throws from Jarek Feliz took it from a 3 point game to a 5 point game with only 2 seconds remaining. This was integral to secure the 3rd win of the season for the Express by a score of 106-101.

"It was a good win, we let them hang around and claw their way back in it but we didn't give up and executed down the stretch. We really got some energy from the home crowd, they were loud tonight we hope we get more of that for sure. " Coach Joe Wojtylko
